
  *** Tharo Apollo Printer Driver for Windows(TM) NT 4.0/Windows 2000 ***


The proprietary Apollo Printer Driver for Windows NT 4.0/Windows 2000 and 
above, hereinafter called Printer Driver, you have received on this diskette 
are provided for your use exclusively with the Tharo Printer you have 
purchased.  Use of this Printer Driver in any other circumstance is 
strictly prohibited.

These modules have been designed for use under Windows NT 4.0/Windows 2000 
or greater. The Printer Driver is not designed for use under Windows NT 3.51 
or Windows 95.  The Printer Driver has been used successfully with a variety 
of Microsoft(R) and other vendor products.  After installing this Printer 
Driver, its ease of use and the results that are achieved depend solely on 
the Windows NT(TM) applications involved.   Tharo Systems does not warrant 
this Printer Driver for use with any specific software, and does not offer 
other-vendor application dependent support.

There is limited separate documentation for this Printer Driver.  After 
installation, extensive On-line Help text will be available regarding the 
use of printer specific options, suggestions about using the driver with 
Windows applications, and information on barcoding and symbologies.

          *****>  INSTALLATION ON A LOCAL COMPUTER  <*****

The following steps are required for a complete Apollo Printer Driver 
installation under Windows NT 4.0/Windows 2000 or greater:

-  Insert the diskette into your disk drive.
-  Select 'Start' from the Windows Taskbar.
-  Highlight 'Settings' and select 'Printers' from the menu.
-  Double click on 'Add Printer' and the Add printer Wizard will start.
-  Select 'My Computer' and click Next.
-  Enable the port the printer will print to by clicking the box in front
   of the port the printer is connected to.  Click Next.
-  Select 'Have Disk' and specify what drive the diskette is inserted in
   and click OK.
-  Select the Apollo printer you want to install and click Next.
-  Assign a printer name and select the printer as your default printer.  
   Click Next.
-  Select 'Not Shared' and click Next.
-  Select Yes to print a test page and click Finish.

The driver and software will install, a test print will print and a message 
box will appear requesting the test page status.  If the page printed 
correctly, click Yes.





       *****>  INSTALLATION ON A NETWORK PRINTER SERVER  <*****

The following steps are required for a complete Apollo Printer Driver 
installation under Windows NT 4.0/Windows 2000 or greater on a network 
printer server.

-  Insert the diskette into your disk drive.
-  Select 'Start' from the Windows Taskbar.
-  Highlight 'Settings' and select 'Printers' from the menu.
-  Double click on 'Add Printer' and the Add printer Wizard will start.
-  Select 'My Computer' and click Next.
-  Enable the port the printer will print to by clicking the box in front
   of the port the printer is connected to.  Click Next.
-  Select 'Have Disk' and specify what drive the diskette is inserted in
   and click OK.
-  Select the Apollo printer you want to install and click Next.
-  Assign a printer name and select the printer as your default printer.  
   Click Next.
-  Select 'Shared', specify a 'Shared Name' and click Next.
-  Select Yes to print a test page and click Finish.

The driver and control panel will install, a test print will print and 
a message box will appear requesting the test page status.  If the page 
printed correctly, click Yes.





        *****>  INSTALLATION ON NETWORK WORKSTATION  <*****

The following steps are required to connect a network printer server 
from a network workstation under Windows NT 4.0/Windows 2000 or greater.  
You must have the Apollo Driver installed on a Network Printer Server before 
completing the following steps.

-  Select 'Start' from the Windows Taskbar.
-  Highlight 'Settings' and select 'Printers' from the menu.
-  Double click on 'Add Printer' and the Add printer Wizard will start.
-  Select 'Network printer server' and click Next.
-  Locate the printer on your network with the 'Connect to Printer' dialog
   box and click OK.
-  Select the printer as your default printer and click Next.
-  'The network printer has been successfully installed.' should appear.  Click
   Finish.

The printer driver and software will not install on your workstation, 
however, a connection is made between the printer server and your workstation, 
which allows the ability to print to the Apollo printer.  Please be aware, 
that if no network security is present, any change to printer settings on
the network workstation will affect all workstations using the Apollo  
Driver.
